Hunting Open Water Smallmouth on St. Clair w/ Ehrler

Continuing his search for world-class smallmouth, Brent Ehrler hunts the open waters of Lake St. Clair using a combination of Lucky Craft Crankbaits and Jerkbaits to trigger reaction bites from nomadic fish. Once he hones in on an area, he grids back and forth using his Garmin Panoptix system along with a drop shot to pick off big northern smallies. After never running into a big school of fish, Brent tries upsizing his drop shot bait to a Yamamoto Zako to try and entice a larger caliber fish to bite.
